1-Hour Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Awareness Education
Some Illinois beauty professionals may need to satisfy a one-time Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness education requirement. This page explains what that means so you can check your own renewal requirements.
This is generally a one-time requirement tied to certain licensees — it is not an hour that every cosmetologist repeats every renewal cycle, and it is not an extra hour added on top of your standard renewal hour total.
When it applies to you, an eligible 1-hour Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness course may count within your renewal CE hours if it meets the applicable Illinois requirements.
