Who can enroll in these courses?

Licensed Illinois beauty professionals — cosmetologists, estheticians, nail technicians and licensed instructors in those disciplines. Students and professionals from other states are welcome to learn, but CE credit is specific to Illinois licensure.

How many CE hours does each course provide?

Each of our initial courses is 3.0 CE hours. The CE hours for every course are listed on the course card and on the course detail page.

Is there an exam?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Self-study courses include an objective post-course examination. The default examination is 10 multiple-choice questions worth one point each, and a score of 80% (8 of 10) is required to pass.

How do I receive my certificate?

A Certificate of Attendance is generated automatically once you complete all required lessons, pass the post-course examination and submit the program and instructor evaluation. Certificates cannot be issued for Illinois CE credit while sponsor approval is pending.

Can I retake the examination?

Yes. If you do not meet the minimum passing score you may review the course materials and retake the examination according to the retake policy shown on the course.

What license information do I need to provide?

Your full legal name, Illinois license category and Illinois license number. This information appears on your certificate and CE transcript, so please enter it exactly as it appears on your license.

Can I complete the course entirely online?

Yes. Lessons, knowledge checks, the post-course examination, the evaluation, your certificate and your CE transcript are all completed online from a phone, tablet or computer.

What is your refund policy?

What is your Illinois CE sponsor approval status?

Accepted Answer

Illinois CE Sponsor application pending IDFPR approval. Courses will not be offered for Illinois CE credit until sponsor approval is received. We will update this page and notify our waitlist as soon as our status changes.
