Course Description

Educational Psychology & Understanding Today's Beauty Student is a teacher-related continuing education course for licensed Illinois cosmetology teachers. The course examines how adults learn, how learning preferences and prior experience shape classroom performance, and how motivation, confidence and communication influence student persistence. Educators study practical engagement strategies for theory and clinic-floor instruction, methods for supporting diverse learners, and communication approaches that maintain professional standards while keeping students progressing toward licensure.

Completion Requirements

  • Complete all 15 required lessons in sequence, submit all required knowledge checks, pass the 20-question final examination with a score of 80% or higher, and submit the program and instructor evaluation.

Examination: 20 multiple-choice questions · 80% to pass · up to 3 attempts. Students who do not reach 80% should review the course materials before retaking the examination.
